Mohammad Sana Ullah served as Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh National Insurance Co. Ltd. for a tenure of 3 (three) years with effect from April 15, 2013. He has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer for another 3 (three) years w.e.f. May 15, 2016 and He has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer for another 3 (three) years w.e.f. May 15, 2019. Before joining Bangladesh National Insurance Co. Limited, he had served with Express Insurance Limited as Additional Managing Director. He obtained B.A (Hons) and M.A. Over the last 30 years of experience in insurance industry and he continuously been contributing for the growth of this sector. He started his career in the year 1989 and work in different organization including Northern General Insurance Co. Ltd., Central Insurance Company Ltd. with full responsibility and utmost dedication for the last 30 years in General Insurance Industry. S.M. Khurshid Alam, Additional Managing Director of Bangladesh National Insurance Company Limited. He started his Insurance career in April-2007 with Express Insurance Company Limited. Mir Zulfequr Rahman, son of Mir Majibur Rahman, was born on January 4, 1963. He holds a Master's degree from the University of Dhaka. After completing his studies, Mr. Rahman spent an extended period in the United States. Upon returning to Bangladesh, Mr. Rahman began his career in the insurance sector with Peoples Insurance Company Limited, where he served from August 21, 2005, to June 6, 2023. Bangladesh National Insurance Company Limited has appointed Md. Rakib Uddin Chowdhury, MBA, as its new Additional Managing Director (AMD) effective from November 16, 2025.Prior to this role, he served as the Deputy Managing Director and Head of the Reinsurance Division at Eastland Insurance PLC. Mr. Chowdhury began his professional journey in 1988 with United Insurance Company, where he worked for 23 years. In March 2011, he joined Reliance Insurance, serving for 13 years before moving to Eastland Insurance in 2024 as an Assistant Managing Director. With 37 years of extensive experience in the insurance sector, Mr. Chowdhury has actively participated in various international seminars, workshops, and conferences. He holds an MBA degree and is widely recognized for his expertise in the reinsurance market. Notably, his deep knowledge of insurance law and reinsurance treaties further enhances his reputation in the industry. The company stated that Mr. Chowdhury’s vast experience in exploring and expanding international reinsurance markets will significantly strengthen Bangladesh National Insurance’s position in the sector.
